Wellcamp Stud is owned and operated by Anthony and Kylee Curtis alongside their children Alastair, Hamish and Megan at “Scottland Downs”.

We have a passion for the Charbray breed and are invested in breeding a top quality article to return the highest value for our clients. We have infused many carcase qualities into our herd and recently have introduced polled genetics.

Let´s Talk About Genetics

We know that our bulls produced in accordance with our exacting standards will be advantageous to the beef industry.

These stringent requirements are intended to create bulls that will increase the beef industry’s long-term productivity and profitability.

When you purchase a Charbray Bull from Wellcamp Stud, you can be assured that the greatest contemporary and conventional techniques were employed. The offspring will calve annually, grow to finish swiftly and grade well as a result.

Our passion is cattle, and we look forward to learning how we can work with you. By appointment only, inspections are welcome at any time.

"Impressively sized bulls!"

Over the years we have purchased a few of Anthony & Kylee’s Wellcamp bulls. We have found they grow out to impressively sized bulls that do well in our brigalow country in Central Queensland. They handle the dry conditions well and as we leave our bulls in, they have proven calving all year round.

We pair the bulls with Charbray and Brahman cross cows and have always found the calves to be a standout. You can definitely pick the calves that are by a Curtis bull. We have never had any issues with temperament, from bulls or progeny and find the weaners to have an extra 20+kg on them compared to others. We are very happy with their growth and weight for age and cannot fault the bulls or the calves.
